Enrolment options

You will learn to:
- Use complex grammatical categories in writing and speaking – when describing daily life and discussing specific topics.
- Describe emotions, feelings, dreams, and clearly articulate expectations and goals.
- Use various verb forms and compound sentences to talk about personal impressions, e.g., a book you’ve read, an exhibition or concert you’ve attended, a film you’ve seen.
- Apply grammar rules in both spoken and written language.
Learning topics:
- "Me and my friends. Is friendship important?" Vocabulary: personality traits, emotions, feelings. Grammar: past frequentative tense, definite adjectives and their usage.
- "Lithuanian eating habits. Healthy food: cook at home or eat out?" Vocabulary: food preparation, kitchen appliances, recipes, spices. Grammar: conjugation of reflexive verbs.
- "Memories, diaries, letters. My story." Vocabulary: family relations, names of genres, usage of adverbs. Grammar: subjunctive and imperative moods.
- "Once upon a time... Fiction in our lives." Vocabulary: literary genres, characters. Grammar: active voice participles in present and past tenses, their functions and usage.
- "Place and space. Identity and ecology." Vocabulary: politics, public life, culture. Grammar: passive voice participles in present and past tenses, their functions and usage.
- "Culture and subculture. How well do we understand each other?" Vocabulary: subcultural groups, Lithuanian equivalents of international words. Grammar: semi-participle and gerund, functions and usage.
Study period:
from September 3 to September 26 (on-site in Kaunas)
VOLUME: 160 academic hours (6 ECTS)
TARGET GROUP: Lithuanian Diaspora, Foreigners
PRIOR PREPARATION: Lithuanian language proficiency at B1 level
RECOGNITION OF ACQUIRED COMPETENCES: Certificate or academic transcript (upon participant’s request)
DURATION: 3 weeks (Mondays and Wednesdays 17:00–18:30) on-site in Kaunas
