Ruslana Martseniuk has obtained her Ph.D. degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv defending the thesis on “The National and State Revival of Ukrainians in Transcarpathia (1918–1939)” in 2004. Since then she has been working as a researcher at the State Archive of Security Service of Ukraine. She has been cooperating with Vytautas Magnus University as a member of editorial board of "History. A Collection of Lithuanian Universities" and actively participating in international conferences in Lithuania and other countries giving more than thirty presentation and publishing more than 80 articles. In 2022, she joined the Vytautas Magnus University researcher community at the Centre of Kaunas History and is happy to share her knowledge on Ukrainian history, culture and traditions with the Lithuanian and international audience.

Chief Research Fellow, Branch State Archive of Security Service of Ukraine. Researcher at the Centre of Kaunas History, Faculty of Humanities, Vytautas Magnus University. Her fields of research include Modern history; History of Ukraine-Baltic relations (19th - 21st centuries); Historical and biographical research.
