German language A2.1

The course is dedicated to the development of German communication linguistic and intercultural competences, which include the development of the vocabulary and the improvement of the use of the language through the listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing activities at the beginner’s level (A2.1). Applying form of learning: lectures, independent assignments, work in the SANAKO media laboratory and in a remote learning environment (interactive tests and exercises).

Register

You will learn:

  • prepositions of place and direction,
  • to form sentences in past tense, write compound sentences,
  • to decline and compare adjectives,
  • sentence structure and to form a correct sentence,
  • to talk about common topics in German.

You will find out:

  • important dates and festivals in Germany,
  • traditional German food, eating habits, clothes and jewelry,
  • how to invite guests for dinner or order food at the restaurant,
  • how to discuss animals and plants,
  • how to describe a workplace and talk about the weather.

After completing the course you will be able to:

  • use grammatical and lexical structures,
  • understand the main idea of simple texts and find specific information;
  • understand audio recordings related to everyday situations and highlight specific details;
  • talk about personal, everyday topics related to the present, past or future using simple language, base personal opinion using simple phrases, use proper intonation,
  • start a conversation and exchange information in specific situations,
  • to write an invitation, description of a person, description of a picture, narrative of past events, a letter of complaint to a company, a recipe using simple language.

  • 80 academic hours

  • Individuals seeking to improve communicative and intercultural competences of German language.

Prerequisites for entering the course

  • German level A1.2

Acknowledgement of acquired competencies

  • Language certificate (with positive evaluation after final exam)
